The Community Association exists to:
-
To work with the
Christchurch City
Council, Canterbury Regional Council (ECan) and any other appropriate
organisations in the development of community services in Governors Bay.
-
To promote the provision of community
facilities and services in Governors Bay and foster the overall
development of the community.
-
To represent the interests of The
Association’s members in any discussions with local authorities on the
maintenance of the environment and development of the amenities of
Governors Bay.
-
To carry out any activity that is
deemed by the Committee to be of benefit to the Community.
The Governors Bay Community
Association meets at 7:30pm in the
Governors Bay Community Hall on the last Monday of each month except for
December. All members of the community are welcome to come and express
their ideas or concerns, or just listen to the issues of our community.

Governors Bay Community Association. If you would like to become a member,

Newsletter
The Governors Bay Community Association newsletter 'The Bay News' is
produced bi-monthly and is targeted for delivery on the Wednesday nine
days after the Community Association monthly meeting. Deadline for copy is
the Friday following the Community Association meeting.
